W.R.E.S. Funding
W.R.E.S. receives no government funding.
W.R.E.S relies heavily on the services of a growing band of volunteers but is constantly on the lookout for additional help and support (including monetary support). We currently operate on a shoestring budget comprised of membership fees, donations from members and supporters, and our own (often spasmodic, due to time constraints) fundraising efforts.
To increase funds, we have begun producing items which not only offer folk something useful but also educate and inform.
Our wildlife rescuers, carers and shelter operators receive no compensation for out-of-pocket expenses, such as petrol money, telephone calls regarding rescues, Joey formula, veterinary visits, animal foods, animal housing, medical supplies, and the like.
So… why do we do it?
We care.
